Tug Gokaydin

I NEED YOUR VOTE! FOR THE BOARD POSITION.

My decision to seek election to the Board is driven by my deep commitment to our communities’ welfare. It is my ultimate desire to maintain Specialty RV Storage as one of the premiere RV storage communities in Las Vegas.

What Has Been Lacking

Detailed Financial Reporting

We need detailed financial reporting to understand where our monies are being spent. In order to keep our property values, we need to minimize costs.

Timely Communication

We need to have a frequent (quarterly) and transparent communication with all owners and provide them detailed reports on electric, water and maintenance costs.

RFP

We need to setup RFPs (Request for Proposals) to obtain competitive bids from vendors.

Participation

We need each Board member to participate and perform their assigned duties. Board member should make decisions collectively. When required, significant financial decisions should be voted by the owners.

Periodic Contract Reviews

We need to review each vendor contract and define in-scope and out-of-scope work so that we pay only for what we need.

Process

We need active vendor management process. It is necessary to make periodic market analysis to determine vendor service costs within the local market.

Suggestions

We need a Board and management company that is open to suggestions from the owners.

Utilization

We need a board that is open to the utilization of other owners’ talents to accomplish projects.

I pledge to making these changes if I receive your vote and get elected to one of the Board Seats.

Tug Gokaydin’s Board Member Candidate Nomination Experience

My decision to seek election to the board is driven by my deep commitment to our communities' welfare. It is my ultimate desire to maintain Specialty RV Storage as one of the premiere RV storage communities in Las Vegas.

I do have prior experience serving on HOA Boards for the communities in which I have lived. In my previous Board position, we maintained our HOA dues without any increases for 3 years in a row while other communities were increasing their dues.

By profession, I am a business owner, technology project manager and educator. I spent 20 years as a senior manager / director in Corporate America, mainly in Computer Sciences Corporation and as a consultant to various other Fortune 500 companies in aerospace and healthcare in the field of business process improvements and technology management.

In addition, I have 15 years of experience as an adjunct professor teaching business management and technology courses for multiple universities. I own Management Sciences Corporation which is a management consulting and training organization.

My goal, if elected to the Board is to work as a team player to address stakeholder(owners) concerns. I am committed to thoroughly evaluating the financial implications of the decisions that are made. I will actively seek alternative approaches to meet our communities needs while keeping costs in check. This approach aligns with our community’s goal of fiscal responsibility and sustainability. I believe that utilizing the talents and expertise of other owners in our community will make our complex better for all of us.

The primary responsibility of a Board member is to serve the needs of the community. I believe issues and action items need to be transparent and communicated to all key stakeholders in a timely manner. Effective communication is essential for success in all organizations. I am committed to improving communication, transparency and business processes.

I look forward to serving on the Board should I receive your vote.

Most Cordially,
